Supporting Australian food service

Comcater is Australia’s commercial kitchen expert. We’ve been serving up smarter food service solutions from around the world since 1979.

When Comcater first opened its doors, Australia’s culinary landscape was very different. It was partly thanks to Kevin and Nancy Wood that we now produce some of the finest cuisines in the world. Kevin had a vision for Comcater. He wanted to source the best commercial kitchen equipment from overseas and provide it to the Australian food service industry.

Kevin’s goal was to provide innovation and inject passion into the industry, with the latest equipment and technology. He started the first demonstration kitchen to educate chefs around the country on Comcater premium selected brands, employing chefs to help with menu creation.

He was also the first to distribute the world’s first combi steamer, RATIONAL, to Australian commercial kitchens. The superior Frymaster Deep Fryers and Garland Ranges were also first imported from America to our shores through Comcater.

Comcater is ISO 9001 certified. You can read our Quality Policy here.

We are also a proud member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), which is a co-regulatory, not-for-profit organisation that partners with government and industry to reduce the harmful impact of packaging on the Australian environment.
