About The Role
The core purpose of the Area Sales manager role is as follows.
- To be the primary daily contact and relationship manager with assigned dealers to grow and develop the business partnership and ultimately grow the purchases and sales of Comcater products and services.
- To represent the company and its products to the dealer network to achieve and exceed the company’s short term and long-term sales expectations.
- To implement annual and quarterly plans with assigned dealers and account manage to ensure all Comcater programs are being fully implemented and leveraged to the mutual benefit of Comcater and the dealers.
- To ensure dealers and key dealer sales staff have all the relevant information, knowledge and training on Comcater products, services.
- To develop Comcater’s presence in dealer showrooms by managing point of sale material, consignment stock and partnership marketing campaigns.
- To maximise the understanding and preference of Comcater solutions to secure specifications with design and construct projects being undertaken by assigned dealers.
Skills And Experience
Technical knowledge:
- Formal sales skills training and at least three years of experience in a field sales role preferred.
- Experience in sales of capital equipment preferred.
- Computer literate (Microsoft office) experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
Business knowledge:
- Working knowledge of sales processes in a business-to-business sales environment.
- Some experience in utilisation of Salesforce or other Customer relationship management systems
Specific Industry knowledge:
- A background in the food service and hospitality industry is preferred
- Basic understanding of a working commercial kitchen its processes and challenges.
Education:
- A tertiary qualification preferred however evidence of ongoing training and development within the hospitality industry will be well considered.
Personal Attributes
- Ability to negotiate at all levels in a professional manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially the ability to present logical and cohesive arguments.
- Ability to develop and implement a coherent and cohesive short-, medium- and long-term strategy.
- Sound and proven ability to deliver in complex sales environments.
- Computer skills include intermediate level MS Office Suite and experience and ability using a CRM system.
- Achievement oriented, tenacious and a determination to succeed.
- A strong team player who can manage and balance a combination of priorities, between end customers dealers and internal teams.
- The ability to adapt and embrace change in an ever-evolving industry.
