RACV Royal Pines Resort is situated at the heart of the Gold Coast, midway between the magnificent beaches of Surfers Paradise and the rainforests of the Hinterland. The onsite dining facilities house 50 Chefs and 18 stewards covering the kitchens which have a traditional set up with Cold Larder and pastry sections, the team are constantly coming up with innovative menus to please varied palates of resort guests.

With their conference space seeing record bookings, Eddie identified the need for some new equipment in the kitchen that could help feed an increasing number of mouths. Instantly, he thought of RATIONAL.
“I have dealt with Comcater and in particular RATIONAL for many years at Wrest Point Casino in Tasmania and Observation City in Western Australia. I have always maintained a professional partnership with my suppliers over the years of which Comcater has been a part of.”
Four new RATONAL SelfCookineCenter® units were installed amongst the older RATIONAL units already inside the resort.
“We have just installed four SelfCookineCenter® 202 units which are 40 tray units to provide a 1000 meal finishing /banqueting system. The Rational Finishing system was added to the mix in March 2011 after a great deal of market research and different brand and product testing. RATIONAL stood above the other brands in its ability to deliver the high expectation of our Chefs and meet our customers’ expectations when delivering 1000 plates in 20 minutes.”
“Other equipment we have on site is Mareno cooking range in Amici Restaurant and a complete restaurant refurbishment in our new Level 21 Restaurant opening later this year. We also have Lincoln Conveyor ovens, Menumaster Microwaves, Cleveland Kettles throughout the resort, which all work flawlessly.”
